NANCY KASTEN
Nancy Kasten strives to capture the emotion of her subject in her paintings. She shares, "Nothing projects that emotion more than people and other living things. A few well placed strokes can say far more than a thoroughly detailed rendering." A native Californian, Nancy knew she wanted to be an artist from the time she could pick up a pencil. Having won first place in a national contest by the time she was twelve, she continues to take awards, including Best of Show honors and the Grumbacher award for the best use of color. Pursuing art at Chaffey College, she has also studied privately with many masters of fine art. She has shown her paintings in one woman shows and group shows throughout Southern California. Currently, she teaches art and conducts art workshops and demonstrations. Nancy's
paintings are in many private collections throughout the United States and
Canada. Her award winning painting of horses, entitled "All Weather
Friends," is available in limited edition print through the various
galleries that represent her. |
