FRANCES HOLLINGER
FRASER grew up in a family that enjoyed music, poetry, and painting.
Art, music, and literature have continued to serve as inspiration,
encouraging her to work harder and learn more. She has furthered her
education through study with many instructors including Betty Edwards of
California State University, Long Beach; Shinjiro Nakamura, Tokyo, Japan;
and William Yelland of Orange, California. She has attended seminars
with Thomas Fogarty, Oldrich Teply, John Howard Sanden, Harley Brown, and
Chuck Hammond. Frances' paintings in oil and pastel radiate an inner
light, giving her subjects a life force that holds the viewer spellbound.
In addition to portraits, her subjects include nostalgia, animals,
southwestern, and traditionalism. Among her most enjoyable art
experiences are doing pastel portraits in New York Central Park, in front of
the Metropolitan Museum in New York City, at Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland,
Movie Wax Museum, Calico Ghost Town in California, and assisting in the
beginning of the Norco Western Art Show in Norco, California. She has
demonstrated pastel portrait for Sennelier Pastel in over 120 cities.
At this moment, her paintings are on display at the Best in Show Framers in
